Haas F1 collaborates with the University of Chicago.

The Haas F1 team has announced the start of a long-term collaboration and research project with the University of Chicago. The goal of the project is to study the physical and cognitive stresses on the team's personnel throughout the season. Researchers will examine the cumulative impact of the Formula 1 season on the body, analyze key stress factors – sleep, fatigue, tension, and work dynamics – to develop a strategy to mitigate their impact on health in the long term, as well as to maintain the team's performance and efficiency. The study will involve staff from all departments of Haas F1 who travel to races, including mechanics, engineers, marketing specialists, communications, information technology, and hospitality professionals. Data will be collected using wearable devices, interviews, and questionnaires – and analyzed by the research team. The team emphasizes that this is a unique study in motorsport, conducted in collaboration with a leading university in the world. Ayo Komatsu, team principal: "Formula 1 is an incredibly challenging environment not only for drivers but for everyone working in motorsport. Our team aims to better understand how these stresses affect personnel and how to create conditions in which employees can work at their best – both on and off the track."
