Alex Albon: At the end of the season, we will have a different car.
Alex Albon stated that the Williams FW48 has great potential, but unlocking it will not be easy. The British team's driver is preparing for a challenging race in Miami, but he is confident that Williams can return to the fight in the midfield.
"We have a tough race ahead in Miami," Alex Albon said in The Fast And The Curious podcast. "But it couldn't be easy, as the car has accumulated too many problems. However, we have the potential to improve, but that won't happen overnight – we will progress from race to race, gradually increasing our performance.
For example, the updates the team is preparing for Miami will be a step in that direction. The car will get better, but not drastically. Simply put, we are redirecting our efforts.
Our goal is to get back into the fight in the midfield and then for the lead, so we'll see. But as with everything related to changes in regulations, the potential for improvement is huge for all teams. By the end of the season, we will have a completely different car than we do now. So we continue to push – everyone at the team base is working at full capacity."
