Sergio Perez: We don't want to fall behind Aston Martin.

Throughout the race in Miami, Sergio Perez battled with Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, finishing ahead of the Canadian driver. The Cadillac driver mentioned that he enjoyed the fight with Aston Martin, but his team needs to improve to keep up with the competitors.

Sergio Perez: "I had fun battling with Aston Martin, especially with Fernando. It's always interesting with him because he drives very aggressively, but at the same time, he's extremely fair.

I believe our team is moving in the right direction and we are capable of staying close to the midfield teams, but as soon as the tires start to degrade, we lose pace significantly. The whole team is rushing to improve the car and increase speed because we know Aston Martin will be stepping up, and we don't want to fall behind.

It's great motivation, but it's not just about them. It's about improving our results, progressing in all areas weekend after weekend.

We executed our pit stops excellently during the race – the team did a great job, and it shows that we are capable of a lot. It's important to continue progressing in all areas in the upcoming weekends."
