Hamilton's new music video received rave reviews.
Lewis Hamilton delighted his fans with an intriguing and stylish video clip shot in a completely cinematic manner and inspired by the famous video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, released nearly a quarter of a century ago.
The video is aptly titled – Vice City Run, and it takes place in Miami, which also evokes associations with the once-popular American series Miami Vice (known to Russian viewers as "Police Miami"), especially since the font of the titles is borrowed from there.
In the clip, set to an old hit by the hip-hop group N.W.A., Lewis first cuts through the waters of Biscayne Bay on a powerful boat – of course, he himself is at the helm. He then showcases an impressive white suit as he gets into a classic white Ferrari Testarossa, produced in the late 80s, and starts smoking the tires.
Views of Miami flash by, the time of day changes, but the seven-time world champion continues to speed through the streets of the coastal city – although sometimes he – or a character that Hamilton creates – ponders and slows down, but then resumes his pace until he disappears into the darkness of the night…
A title appears on the screen: "Starring Lewis Hamilton."
Everyone who was once captivated by the mentioned game or watched that TV series will surely recognize many familiar details and feel nostalgic about their lost youth… It can be assumed that there are enough such people, and it is no coincidence that the clip gathered almost half a million likes in just one day, with thousands of fans commenting on it. Let’s quote just one of them: "What an outfit! What a car! What a human being!"
