Max Verstappen: I had a good fast lap.

Max Verstappen successfully completed his segment of the Friday qualifying ahead of the "24 Hours of Nürburgring" marathon. The four-time world champion recorded the sixth fastest time in the second session, completing a lap in 8:11.614 seconds. This result was enough to advance to the final and compete for pole position, which will be led by Verstappen's teammate Daniel Hunkadella.

For Max, qualifying ended there, and he shared his comments after the session.

"I felt comfortable in the car, and our goal was to make it to the final part of qualifying," Max Verstappen said during the press briefing. "Obviously, it wasn't easy to do, considering the level of competition.

The competition is very tight, there are many fast cars, but I managed to put in a pretty good quick lap. Fortunately, it was dry, and the car handled well. We achieved our goal.

Yesterday, the weather and track conditions changed constantly, and I drove in the dark for the first time. The conditions were as bad as they could be – rain and fog. But I got a good first impression of what we might expect in the race, so that was helpful.

Our team has prepared as well as possible, including during the previous races at this track. We have gathered a group of true professionals who put their heart and soul into the work. I hope we will show a good result."
