Brandl: Drivers are concerned about the behavior of the new cars in the rain.

The weather forecast for the Canadian Grand Prix does not rule out the possibility of precipitation during the race weekend. Former Formula 1 driver Martin Brundle pointed out that many drivers are unsure how the new cars will behave on a wet track, which causes them some concern.

Martin Brundle: "All the drivers are a bit apprehensive about how these cars will perform on the track in the rain. The new generation of cars has more power and less downforce, and no one has had a full opportunity to attack them at full strength on a wet track. So we might see some drama this weekend.

Only one of the last eight races in Montreal has gone without a safety car deployment. This is because if you crash, your car effectively remains on the track. That's the nature of the configuration, but it's an old-school track, and that's why we like it."
