Viktor Marten is the reserve driver for Williams in Canada.
At the beginning of the year, Williams extended the contract of reserve driver Luke Browning, who races with the team at the World Championship events. Meanwhile, the British driver competes in the Japanese Super Formula series with Kondo Racing, and the Canadian Grand Prix coincides with the fourth round of the season in Suzuka.
Luke's priority is to participate in the races, especially since he is currently in fifth place in the individual standings, so he will spend this weekend in Japan rather than in Montreal. As a result, Williams invited their test driver Victor Marten to serve as the reserve driver for one event.
"Victor Marten will fulfill the duties of reserve driver this week, as Luke competes in the fourth round of the Super Formula season in Japan," the Williams press service briefly confirmed.
