40 minutes to the start: comment by Arvid Lindblad
Arvid Lindblad surprised many this weekend, even though it was his first experience on the Canadian track. The 18-year-old debutant from Racing Bulls showed the 9th fastest time in the sprint qualifying, finished 8th in the short Saturday race, earning a championship point, after which he advanced to the final of the main qualifying and will start from the ninth position in the Canadian Grand Prix.
Arvid Lindblad: "I really enjoyed driving on this track; it is quite different from the circuits we have raced on this year. I like its configuration, including the fact that you have to attack the curbs – overall, driving here is quite interesting. And I am very pleased with how the weekend has gone up to today.
Let's see what the weather will be like, and if it rains, we will start on wet tires. However, it doesn't make much difference for us – if the race takes place on dry asphalt, our car is fast and allows us to fight for points. Of course, the risks increase somewhat in the rain, but there will also be more opportunities to move forward."
