Frederic Vasseur: The team maintains a positive attitude

Ferrari clearly expected better results in Monaco, and from the very beginning of the weekend, many considered the Italian team to be the favorite. Therefore, unlike the Canadian Grand Prix, this time Lewis Hamilton's second place left a certain bitter taste, especially since Charles Leclerc crashed his car shortly before the finish, explaining it with brake problems.

Team principal Frederic Vasseur returned to the pit wall on Sunday, although he was absent from the track on Saturday due to the need for an urgent medical examination, and commented on the weekend's results.

"We must remain optimistic, as overall it was another weekend where we performed well," Vasseur believes. "Lewis has made it to the podium for the second time in a row, and I believe this is the maximum our car is capable of. In several previous races, we have seen him driving with more confidence, he feels more comfortable behind the wheel. This is encouraging and reflects the progress the team is making.

Of course, in Charles's case, the results are very disappointing. We had brake problems all weekend, and it was clear that something was not working as it should. We will thoroughly analyze the situation, find out exactly what happened, and we will definitely solve the problem before the race in Barcelona.

At the time of the crash, Charles was in a good position, and it is very unfortunate that valuable points were lost, especially since it was his home race. We must remain fully focused, work on the tasks at hand, continue to work hard, and make the most of any opportunity.

The team maintains a positive attitude, the direction of development is correct, and in just a few days we will have the next opportunity to continue moving forward."
