💇 Honda appears to be preparing significant updates for the Accord and Passport for the coming year. A Honda executive hinted at a “substantially redesigned Accord that will feel like a new model,” while an unnamed source mentioned that the automaker is “giving [the Passport] more testosterone” and that “it’s a bit more masculine.” [Automotive News]
🌍 Stellantis will introduce the new Dodge Charger in Europe, offering gas-powered Sixpack models as well as a battery-electric Daytona, available in both two-door and four-door versions. [Stellantis]
🚣 Subaru has pledged to release at least three new models featuring manual transmissions in Japan: a hatchback seemingly inspired by last year’s Performance-B STI Concept from the Japan Mobility Show; a WRX equipped with the more durable TY85 manual transmission from the previous-gen STI; and a leaner, more agile BRZ. 🚙 Subaru also issued an unusual press release over the weekend, “[announcing] that it is considering” launching the three-row Ascent in Japan, where it has not been offered until now. The Ascent is manufactured in Indiana. [Subaru]
⛽ Toyota seems unable to produce new RAV4s swiftly enough, as current inventory stands at less than five days in the U.S., with the hybrid SUV selling rapidly due to increasing gas prices. [Bloomberg]
⛐ Ford of Europe has remained vague regarding the potential revival of the Fiesta and/or Focus, with its product chief stating, regarding new ST or RS models, that, “To be credible and authentic, there needs to be some kind of performance series of our vehicles.” [Auto Express]
🚕 Uber has launched a waitlist for customers in London interested in being the first to use the company’s robotaxi service in the city, although no specific launch date has been announced yet. [Bloomberg]
