Flavio Briatore: We will make a decision on the lineup later.

      Flavio Briatore spoke about the prospects of Franco Colapinto continuing his collaboration with the team in 2027. The head of Alpine promised to make a decision about the lineup for the next season by the end of summer.

      Flavio Briatore: "Franco is integrating better and better into the team. He is making serious progress both psychologically and in his technical understanding of many things, as well as in his relationships with the team. We are working a lot with him.

      He recently moved to Monaco, so I see him often, and we communicate a lot. This young driver came into Formula 1 under serious pressure, and gaining psychological stability in such a situation is not easy. We need to help him.

      We have done a lot of work with Franco, and now step by step he is gaining confidence. I don't know what level he can reach, but he definitely has talent. I am one hundred percent sure of that.

      If Franco continues to perform as he is now, and his relationship with Pierre Gasly remains the same as it is now, then why not? In our time, we had great relationships in the team between Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella, between Alonso and Jarno Trulli.

      Now I know Franco very well, and we know Pierre very well. At the moment, we are focused on the technical development of the team and stability. Perhaps the decision about the lineup will be made later. There are still many races to be held before the end of August and the summer break, after which we will make a decision."
