Arvid Lindblad presented a special design for the helmet.
Arvid Lindblad is set to make his debut at the British Grand Prix – this is a home race for the Racing Bulls driver, and today he presented a specially designed helmet dedicated to this event along with his team.
Arvid carries his father's Swedish surname, but his mother is a British citizen of Indian descent, so it makes sense that the helmet's design was created in collaboration with British-Indian artist Navinder Nangla.
Arvid's childhood dream has come true; he started karting at a very young age and is now competing in Formula 1, and he's doing quite well: it's enough to say that he has scored points in three of the eight races that have already taken place this season.
The design of the helmet reflects these themes – the dream of becoming a world-class driver, determination, and self-belief. The illustrations on it are dedicated to various stages of the 18-year-old Brit's career and his main achievements, such as winning the national karting championship, signing with the Red Bull junior program, victories at Silverstone in Formula 3, and his first successes in F1 as a Racing Bulls driver.
Arvid Lindblad: "This special helmet truly reflects the journey I've taken. It all started when I was five years old, with the dream of becoming a Formula 1 driver. I find it symbolic that we will tell my story in Silverstone, as many stages of my journey are connected to this racetrack.
Working with Navinder was incredibly interesting – he helped me bring my vision to life. I have always dreamed of becoming an F1 driver – from the very first moment I got behind the wheel of a kart, and Formula 1 has always been my goal. Achieving it would have been impossible without the support and help I received from my closest people."
