Cadillac views the Saturday sprint in Silverstone as a test session, where the team will continue to evaluate the updates brought to the last round in Austria.

Sergio Perez (19th): "A challenging day. Right now, we are focused on getting the most out of the car we have at our disposal. Comparing where we started in practice and where we ended up in qualifying, the team made a good step forward.

In terms of balance, the car reacted neutrally to gusts of wind, so I didn't lose much to Esteban Ocon, but in my final attempt, I was hindered by traffic in the fourth corner and issues with energy consumption.

I don't think it would have been possible to make it into Q2 today, but it's good that we are progressing, and now we are preparing to spend more time on track in the sprint."

Valtteri Bottas (20th): "When it comes to our speed on a fast lap, we are positioned between Aston Martin and the midfield. The new generation cars handle differently in Silverstone, but better than I expected.

Let's see how tomorrow's sprint goes. I hope we can better assess the effect of the updates brought to the Austrian round, as I only completed two laps in the last race."
