Sergio Perez: In the race, it's important to reach the finish line.
In the qualifying session for the Belgian Grand Prix, Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez confidently outpaced their rivals from Aston Martin. In the race, the Cadillac drivers hope to reach the finish line and challenge stronger opponents.
Valtteri Bottas (19th): "We managed to conduct all the sessions of the weekend without any issues, and each lap helped to boost our confidence and understanding of the car. I felt comfortable behind the wheel all weekend, and I think we extracted everything we could from the car in qualifying. The team understands that there are areas where we need to improve, but we are learning with every outing on the track, and the more time we spend working, the more stable we become.
Tomorrow we will try to make the most of any opportunity. Let's see what we can achieve during the race."
Sergio Perez (20th): "I am satisfied with my lap, but unfortunately, starting from the first practice, I had issues with energy consumption that we couldn't resolve before qualifying. It cost us dearly – those few tenths we lost on the straights were not enough to gain a few positions.
Tomorrow it is important to finish the race – that is what the team is focused on. We hope to start well and compete with our rivals – that is our main goal."
