The head of the youth program will leave Mercedes.
On Sunday, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff confirmed rumors about the possible departure of the head of the company's youth program, Gwen Lagrue. Wolff stated that negotiations are ongoing, but nothing has been decided yet; however, rumors suggest that Gwen has already signed a contract with Red Bull, where he will take on a similar position. Lagrue has led the Mercedes youth program for several years, assisting in the preparation of Esteban Ocon, George Russell, and Kimi Antonelli for their Formula 1 debuts. Toto Wolff: "Yes, we are discussing Gwen's future, but nothing has been decided yet. He has assembled a fantastic team, with seven, eight, or nine people working on the youth program, and Bradley Lord will lead it. These issues need to be resolved. We want to do this together with Gwen, and then we'll see."
