Williams driver Alex Albon will visit South Africa at the end of July with the support of the team's sponsors from Super Group as part of the "1% mission."
The essence of the mission is that only 1% of fans worldwide can attend a Formula 1 race in person. Williams aims to expand its geography and reach as much as possible.
This visit will conclude a month-long tour of Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg, during which the Williams FW48 was displayed in shopping centers across the country, allowing local fans to see the car and win a personal meeting with Alex.
For the first time since 1993, when Alain Prost won the Grand Prix at the Kyalami circuit, an active Williams driver will come to South Africa.
