Bottas spoke about another achievement in cycling.

      Not all Formula 1 drivers have the same ideas about how to spend their summer vacation. Valtteri Bottas, for example, continues to passionately pedal his favorite bicycle and shared another achievement in gravel racing over the past weekend.

      The 36-year-old Finn participated in a competition held as part of the UCI Gravel World Series in the vicinity of the Czech town of Hlinsko, finishing 5th in his age group, which allowed him to qualify for higher-level races.

      "While others are relaxing on their yachts, I rode a 131-kilometer UCI Gravel World Series race in the Czech Republic," Valtteri reported via social media. "I finished fifth among men in the 35 to 39 age group and qualified for the World Championship in gravel racing.

      Thank you all for your support; it was very important on such a challenging course! But I enjoyed it all – competing in such events is always great!"

      One of the first comments under this news was left by the Cadillac team, for which Bottas races in Formula 1.

      "That's our guy!" the press service of the American team proudly noted.

      However, the World Championship that Valtteri has qualified for will take place in Australia from October 10 to 11, which coincides with the dates of the Singapore Grand Prix, and it is likely that during those days the Finnish driver will indeed be piloting the Cadillac race car rather than spending time in the saddle of his bicycle.
