Cadillac will soon complete the refinement process of the MAC-26 chassis.

Valtteri Bottas confirmed that Cadillac F1 will soon complete the refinement process for the 2026 car and fully switch to preparing for the next season.

The American team is a debutant in the World Championship, and it was quite expected that in its first season it would find itself among the outsiders. Although it failed to earn any points in the first half of the season, it still managed to earn respect in the paddock.

Now the priority task is to continue progressing and apply all the accumulated experience in developing the new car to start the 2027 season in good shape.

“We are still preparing some technical innovations aimed at improving chassis efficiency, but nothing particularly large,” said the Finnish driver of Cadillac, according to RacingNews365. “There will be no magic – in general, of course, the moment is approaching when we will have to fully shift our focus to preparing for next year.

This will happen soon and means that we will still be able to progress, but making big strides forward will become more difficult, as the other teams are still continuing to present their latest updates.

Everything we implemented throughout the season made our car faster. When you prepare some new solutions, it’s not guaranteed that they will work effectively. But we moved forward, and that gives hope for the future. We saw signs of progress, even though we didn’t undertake any large-scale actions, and it was related to these small improvements.”
