Honda is confident that the new engine will be more efficient.

      At the Hungarian Grand Prix, the Aston Martin F1 team, as planned, prepared a significant set of technical innovations, more than a dozen, and this already allowed Fernando Alonso to reach the second part of qualifying for the first time this season.

      At the next stage of the championship in Zandvoort, the team is set to present further chassis updates, but equally important is that the AMR26 will also receive an improved, more powerful, and efficient version of the Honda power unit.

      "I can't provide exact figures, but we have achieved the goal we set for ourselves," said Shintaro Orihara, chief engineer and head of the Japanese engine manufacturer's racing team. "I am confident in the work that the specialists at Honda Racing Corporation have done at our base in Sakura.

      We focused on improving engine efficiency, primarily by enhancing the parameters of the fuel mixture combustion process. Detailed information is confidential, but I can share a bit about what we have managed to achieve.

      We have upgraded the configuration of the pre-combustion chamber to accelerate the ignition process of the fuel-air mixture, and we have also improved several components of the lubrication system to reduce friction-related losses. In short, we have made numerous enhancements to the engine's design to increase its efficiency.
