Marquez's guidance contributed to Hadjar's absence from the Dutch GP.
Isack Hadjar was reportedly eager to participate in the race at Zandvoort despite his wrist injury, but advice from MotoGP champion Marc Marquez helped persuade him not to take the risk. Canal Plus journalist Julien Febreau stated that Hadjar and Marquez share physiotherapist Carlos Garcia, and Marquez reached out to the Red Bull driver upon hearing about the injury. "Marc Marquez was straightforward with Hadjar and recommended that he not race this weekend under those physical conditions," Febreau reported. Sky Deutschland mentioned that Hadjar’s injury is a very fine hairline fracture in his wrist, which he apparently incurred during boxing training. Hadjar reportedly barely noticed when it happened, with the issue only becoming apparent the next morning. Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies indicated that the team is treating his absence as a precaution. "He’ll be here later, too, although he can’t drive," the Frenchman said at Zandvoort. "It’s unfortunate, but we don’t want to take any risks with that. He’s had a really strong first half of the season, but we prefer to avoid any chances." "So he will miss this race, allowing him the opportunity to recover." The main question now is whether Hadjar will be fit for Monza in two weeks or if the injury will lead to more missed races. "It’s too soon to say anything about that," Mekies asserted. "But our objective is for Isack to return to the cockpit in Monza." Although Hadjar has already visited the Red Bull garage at Zandvoort, he has not yet spoken publicly. Liam Lawson is stepping in for him and has so far managed the transition back to the senior team well, while Yuki Tsunoda has temporarily rejoined Racing Bulls. This reshuffle also complicates Red Bull’s driver planning for 2027. Racing Bulls CEO Peter Bayer remarked that both Lawson and Arvid Lindblad are performing exceptionally well, while Formula 2 leader Nikola Tsolov is also vying for promotion. "Arvid and Liam are both doing an excellent job," Bayer stated on Friday. "The same goes for Nicolas, who is performing very well in Formula 2. We will be running him next week in the TPC in Imola to further aid in his preparation." "Ultimately, the decision on the driver lineup for next year is one for Alan (Permane) to make."
