Hamilton: Changing teams is always a bit of a risk.
In the history of Formula 1 there have been several world champions who have failed to repeat their previous successes when they played for Ferrari - enough to name Alain Prost, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel. Now everyone wonders whether Lewis Hamilton will be able to win an eighth title with the Scuderia, or whether he too will be on the list. Of course, the first week of his cooperation with Ferrari does not give ideas about how further events may develop, but it is felt that he has a fighting spirit, and in Maranello also reigns a special atmosphere. Italian team under the leadership of Frederick Wasser for two years has made serious progress and last season until the final Grand Prix Abu Dhabi claimed to win the Constructors' Cup, which in the end still went to McLaren. But Scuderia is already ready for new achievements, and there is no doubt that Hamilton will give his best, but will it be enough? The future will show who will be right - the seven-time world champion himself, which, as a rule, distinguishes the belief in himself and his own strength, or skeptics who believe that in his 40 years he is no longer in the best form. In what is not to doubt, so it is in his motivation and that Ferrari will benefit from his experience gained during the years of cooperation with Mercedes, and perfectionism, characteristic of his attitude to the case.
Here's how Lewis himself talks about the new chapter of his career in an interview with the Get Hired news channel of the Linkedin business portal: "None of us can predict the future, so when we change jobs or, as in my case, change teams, it's always a certain risk. But I believe that we are more risky if we stay where we are comfortable, so we are happy with everything. You can call it a manifestation of instinct, some inner feeling, but I realized that the decision to move to Ferrari was right. This is a new challenge that I need. There are so many specialists of incredibly high level working in this team that I can't wait to start working with them. I am fully confident that together we can succeed. Every season in Formula 1 is a new chapter. Even in those years when I won races and championships, I realized that in the next season there will be no guarantees. My approach is to work hard every day so that when I get back behind the wheel, I feel that I'm driving better than the previous season. This mental attitude and the desire to constantly progress makes me achieve more than I ever thought possible".
