McLaren have extended the contract of Peter Prodromou

Team McLaren shared the news about the extension of the contract with Peter Prodromou, technical director, responsible for everything related to aerodynamics. Like previous agreements between the parties, the new contract has a long-term character. Prodromou received this position in March 2023 and was one of the key specialists, whose efforts contributed to the team's winning the Constructors Cup at the end of last year's season. He first came to McLaren back in 1991, after which he became one of the leading specialists in aerodynamics among all teams in Formula 1. After a period of success with Red Bull Racing, Peter returned to McLaren in 2014 to become chief engineer. McLaren Racing have extended the long-term contracts of both drivers, Andrea Stella, team principal, as well as a number of other key personnel in 2024. Today's announcement was further confirmation of the stability of McLaren's talent pool, which is essential to success in Formula 1. Peter Prodromou: "I am delighted to continue working at McLaren F1 in the same capacity. Being part of this team and contributing to its steady progress is a great honor for me. After last year's success, I am ready to continue to work towards realizing our shared aspirations and winning more world championships. I am grateful for the trust placed in me by Zak Brown and Andrea Stella, as well as all my teammates who continue to support me on both a personal and professional level. Andrea Stella, Team Principal: "I am delighted to confirm that Peter's contract has been extended under new long-term arrangements. His contribution to technical leadership is truly invaluable, as is his influence on organizational and other processes, and he can be considered one of the main architects of the rapid growth of the team's results, with the team winning the Constructors' Cup for the ninth time in 2024. Without him, we would not have achieved this and we are already looking forward to continuing our common cause of winning more. Thank you, Peter, for your dedication and hard work, everyone at McLaren is proud to call you a colleague".
