Oscar Piastri: I can be a champion this year

      At the end of last season Oscar Piastri helped his teammate Lando Norris in the fight with Max Verstappen. In 2025, the Australian racer McLaren intends to fight for the title himself, and believes that he has everything necessary for this. Oscar Piastri: "This year we are all starting from scratch, and it is quite natural that at the end of last season I had more opportunities to demonstrate everything that I am capable of. Yes, I helped Lando a few times, but he also helped me a few times, so it's not that clear-cut. But we're definitely going to start with a clean slate and I think I can be world champion this year. Twelve months ago I started the season with weaknesses that I wasn't completely sure about. I've tried to address them, but now it's about showing my best every weekend and that will be the difference from last year. Like I said, both Lando and I will start with a clean slate. We each have opportunities to win races. Of course, if at the end of the season the points difference is big and one of us needs help from a teammate, then we will try to help each other. But it's still a long way off. Each of us wants to win, so at the beginning of the season we will fight hard but fair with each other. Hopefully, more often than not, Lando and I will be fighting for first and second place."
