The day before in McLaren presented a car with a temporary coloring, the next day showed a new FW47 in Williams. The team will spend the 2025 season with a new title sponsor - Australian IT-company Atlassian, and will perform under the name Atlassian Williams Racing. In the name of the car retained continuity - the initials of the creator of the team Frank Williams and the serial number of the chassis project - FW47. opened the ceremony, the head of the team James Vowles, then the racers joined the conversation. James Vowles: "You will see that the team continues to progress, but I have always said that our focus is on 2026, 2027 and 2028, and we are acting in accordance with these plans. This year we have a huge change in the infrastructure. Whereas we used to have 700 people on the team, we are now over 1,050 and we are not done hiring new people. We have a lot in the pipeline, but all this work is happening behind the scenes and is not visible from the outside. I want to make sure that we deliver results not only in the short term, but also in the long term. We need to make sure we can compete for titles. Yes, it will take more time, but that is what we are investing in. This year should turn out to be a good year for the team." The lineup for 2025 is one of the most interesting. Partner Alex Elbon, who this year will spend his fourth season in Williams, was transferred from Ferrari Carlos Sainz. Alex Elbon: "Everyone at the base worked hard on the preparation of the machine. We will fight hard from the first to the last race of the season, and look forward to new opportunities in 2026. I look forward to seeing the results of the teamwork and dedication that makes this team so special." Carlos Sainz: "This is an important moment for the team, we all want to get Williams back to the top of the table as soon as possible. After two laps on the short version of the track, Carlos Sainz went to the journalists: "I can say that the first trip to the track went well, which is good news. Usually the very first installation laps on a new car is not without difficulties, but in our case the machine worked as it should, and we are ready to move forward with the program. Now I will go to communicate with the engineers to give them feedback. Being in the cockpit, I felt a few things that can be improved. I will give the feedback, after which we will start preparing the car to take to the track on slicks, and gradually we will attack harder and harder."
