Wolff states that the F1 launch event is not intended for 'hardcore fans'.

      "Hardcore fans" might not be eagerly anticipating Tuesday’s unique collective launch for the 2025 season at the sold-out O2 arena in London. Departing from the traditional method, where the ten teams unveil their new cars separately, F1 owner Liberty Media has organized a large-scale event that all teams, drivers, and management must attend.

      Max Verstappen humorously expressed his hope to feel unwell during the event. "It’s great for many fans," noted McLaren’s Lando Norris. "It’s significant for Formula 1, but I’d prefer to be at home relaxing and preparing for the season."

      Mercedes boss Toto Wolff acknowledged that hardcore fans might feel let down since the teams will only reveal their 2025 liveries on older or 'show' cars. "There will be plenty of media excitement," the Austrian remarked, "but some of us hardcore fans might feel a bit disappointed about not seeing the final product. However, the reality is you won’t see the finished product until the end of the test phase anyway," referring to the fully developed Melbourne-spec 2025 cars. "At least the fans are happy. Personally, I’d rather not have sprint races, but the data indicates that fans enjoy them. They appreciate these events, too. We operate in a data-driven sport, and if the data suggests it's good, then let's give it a shot."

      Ferrari chief Frederic Vasseur added, "It's not the first occasion where teams unveil a car using last year's model. We have all launched a car with some fake components in the past. I believe this is more for the fans. We should avoid criticizing everything."

      Each team will have just seven minutes for their segment of the launch event. Haas’ Esteban Ocon shared his anticipation for seeing all ten new liveries showcased at once. "As a fan of the sport, honestly it can be frustrating to watch a new livery each day, and sometimes you miss it because you're preoccupied," said the Frenchman. "It’s one more event for us, which isn't ideal since it’ll be very hectic. We need to be fully prepared before the season starts. However, I think it’s better organized than in the past when two teams would launch on the same day. So, I’m actually looking forward to it," Ocon concluded.
