Leclair agrees with an increase in the number of pit stops in Monaco

We wrote that at a meeting of the Formula 1 Commission it was decided to introduce a mandatory second pit stop during the race in Monaco to increase entertainment. This proposal has yet to be approved by the FIA World Council, but there is little doubt that it will be so.

Monaco-born Ferrari driver Charles Leclair, who won at his home track last year, supports this idea.

Charles Leclair: "If the number of pit stops increases during the race, additional strategy options will appear, which, in my opinion, is not bad.

Saturday in Monaco is always interesting. This is the best qualifying of the season, an incredible challenge for the drivers. But not much happens on Sunday. And a second mandatory pit stop can spice things up a bit.

But still, don't jump to conclusions. We need to really understand if this will change the situation for the better, and if not, reverse this decision and return to the old rules."
