Nico Hulkenberg was injured on the first day of testing

      Nico Hulkenberg suffered an eye injury on the first day of tests in Bahrain. Fortunately, there were no serious consequences, and on Thursday he returned to the Sauber.

      On Wednesday, the German driver had been working on the track since morning, and when there was little time left before the end of the session, an unpleasant incident occurred in the pits. The mechanics were engaged in grinding, and one of the fragments hit Nico in the eye.

      The rider immediately went to the medical center of the track, where he spent several hours. The doctors examined him and came to the conclusion that the injury would not lead to long-term consequences, and Niko could continue driving during the remaining days of testing.
