Domenicali: Cadillac will be ready to fight in 2026

The announcement that the Cadillac team will appear in the 2026 season was made last fall, but has not yet been finalized. The FIA's comprehensive review continues, but Formula 1 boss Stefano Domenicali is optimistic.

Stefano Domenicali: "Some formalities remain, but the process is almost complete. When the joint statement with the FIA is ready, we will make a statement.

It is important to clarify our position. We have never been against the Cadillac project. We always said that the arrival of Cadillac would give an incredible boost to the Formula 1 ecosystem. Back then, the problem was in certain details, but now the picture is completely different.

The company is doing everything to prove that Cadillac is really involved in sports. This is a consequence of GM's change of approach. They want to become a real designer or manufacturer investing in our sport because they believe in the technological platform that Formula 1 can provide them.

I am very happy that they are moving forward now and are looking forward to getting on the track with other teams to compete for a great championship. Now we know that next year they will be ready for this fight."
