Loeb: We won in the end, and that's the most important thing!

Sebastien Loeb won the Race of Champions in Sydney, achieving such success for the fifth time – no one has ever succeeded before. Prior to that, he won the ROC in 2003, 2004, 2008 and 2022.

Yesterday, together with Victor Martin, he won the Nations Cup for the French team, and today he was the strongest in individual races, without losing a single one, and defeated Australian Chaz Mostert in the final.

"I am very pleased and proud of this achievement! – said the nine-time world rally champion. – It was a wonderful weekend, yesterday we won the Nations Cup together with Victor, who was incredibly fast, and today I managed to reach the final and win.

It's a great moment – to be honest, yesterday, after my success in the Nations Cup, I felt something like relief and said to myself: "Tomorrow I won't feel any pressure at all and I'll just attack." And everything worked out!

During the race, we hear the roar of welcome from the stands, although not in the FC2 rally cars (they hosted the final match with Mostert), and the atmosphere here at the stadium is simply wonderful. I think the support from the public helped me too.

The results were very solid this year, and the Australian Supercars drivers brought some surprises, with Molly Taylor defeating Johan Kristoffersson! All in all, the weekend was great, we won in the end, and that's the most important thing!"
