Kush Maini became the fourth reserve pilot of Alpine
Indian racer Kush Maini became the fourth reserve driver of the Alpine team, but this status does not mean helping the team in case of problems with the main drivers – only attending briefings and participating in tests of cars from previous years.
Maini will join Franco Colapinto, Paul Aron and Rio Hirakawa in the Alpine reserve team. This year, as part of the Alpine youth program, he will compete in Formula 2 for the DAMS team and work on tests.
Kush Maini: "I am happy to become a reserve and test driver for the Alpine team, and I am grateful to Flavio and Oliver for their continued support.
I'm looking forward to spending more time on Formula 1 tracks in this role and building on what I've already learned with the team in 2024, but right now I'm focused on my third Formula 2 season, which starts this weekend in Australia."
