A new boxing complex will be built in Albert Park

The organizers of the Australian Grand Prix announced plans to demolish the box building after the Formula 1 stage next year in order to build a new, more modern complex on the same site in two years, including boxes, a race control center, guest areas and a press center.

"We are reconstructing the buildings in Albert Park so that they meet the modern requirements of the Australian Grand Prix and are used as widely as possible for the rest of the year.

The existing box building was built in 1995 and is used by the Australian Grand Prix Corporation for the annual Formula 1 stage. The rest of the time, local sports events are held there and a number of public sports clubs operate using the adjacent sports grounds.

The existing building will be demolished after the 2026 Australian Grand Prix. The new boxes and the temporary Paddock Club facility will be built in time for the 2027 Australian Grand Prix, and all work is expected to be completed by the 2028 Australian Grand Prix," the organizers said.
