Robin Raikkonen was injured at a competition in Italy
10-year–old Robin, the son of Kimi Raikkonen, was injured at a go-kart competition in Italy, the wife of the 2007 world champion reported on social media.
It was a race in the WSK Super Masters series at the cartodrome in Viterbo, 100 km from Rome. Robin started from 21st position, but did not reach the finish line because he had an accident, and how it all ended can be seen in the photo shared by Minttu Raikkonen.
"Here is the result of participation in the WSK race. There are no rules, no fines, and all kinds of dangerous situations," commented the mother of the young karter. However, instead of the word "situation," she used a slightly stronger expression.
There were 36 participants in the race, the start was very chaotic, and judging by the video released by the organizers of the series, there were really a lot of dangerous episodes.
Last year, Robin became the champion of the Swiss junior Rotax Max Challenge series, gaining the right to transfer to WSK, and that's how the very first race ended. Of course, the publication of this photo caused a lot of sympathetic comments, including someone who wrote: "This is a common thing for WSK, there has never been a normal order there."
