Valtteri Bottas ready to consider a move to IndyCar
Valtteri Bottas arrived at the first stage of the new season in Melbourne as a Mercedes reserve driver. The Finn expects to return to driving in 2026, but is ready to consider alternative career options.
Valtteri Bottas: "There are many opportunities in the pilot market. Now it seems like there's still a lot of time until next year, but in Formula 1 you always think about the future. The middle of the season is very close, so of course I need to think about next season, although it's too early. Nevertheless, it motivates me to work hard.
My main priority is a contract in Formula 1, but I am ready to consider alternative options. IndyCar could definitely be a good option, although I'm not thinking about it at the moment. I'm fully focused on Formula 1 right now, but who knows what the future holds for me. Maybe next year I'll have the same role as I have now."
