Haas F1 hopes for a mistake-free weekend

The weekend in Australia was not easy for Haas F1 and did not bring any points, but the team hopes for a better result in China.…

Ayo Komatsu, Team leader: "After a difficult weekend, we are going to Shanghai for the first sprint of the season. The track in China has its own peculiarities and is very different from Albert Park - there are a lot of slow turns and a long straight. When setting up the car, we need to use everything we learned in the first stage in order to have a decent weekend.

Esteban performed well in Australia, and we hope to build on his success, and I also want to see Berman's good form after his uncharacteristic high number of mistakes in Melbourne."

Esteban Ocon: "Shanghai has an interesting, technical track, and it's great that it returned to the calendar after a break last year. There are many features here, in particular, the protracted 1st turn with high speed at the entrance, where you have to trust the car.

We are going to have a weekend with a Saturday sprint, where there is only one training session, in which there is a lot to do. I love racing and I'm glad that there are two races waiting for us this weekend - two opportunities to compete and earn points."

Oliver Berman: "Last year I came to China as a reserve driver and was impressed by this city and the unique track. I'm looking forward to my first sprint – it won't be easy, because I've never raced in China before, but I'm ready to take on this challenge."
