Dr. Helmut Marko has stated that Red Bull would strongly oppose the notion of Susie Wolff running for FIA president. Recent speculation has indicated that Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who initiated a brief inquiry into the potential conflict of interest involving Susie and Toto Wolff's current positions, may face competition in the upcoming FIA elections later this year.

1996 world champion Damon Hill responded by suggesting that Susie Wolff, who currently leads the all-female F1 Academy series, would be an "ideal" successor for the controversial Ben Sulayem. Her husband, Toto Wolff, who is the Mercedes boss and co-owner, provided a lukewarm denial when asked about Susie's potential candidacy. He said, "Not that I'm aware of," adding, "Susie is a passionate entrepreneur. She has rapidly developed the F1 Academy and isn't looking to work with the FIA. Someone started this rumor to create some excitement," Toto continued.

However, the Kronen Zeitung newspaper also quoted Toto Wolff mentioning regarding his wife’s possible FIA presidency: "Maybe later in her career, when she’s older and has accomplished everything she aspires to." Meanwhile, Red Bull advisor Marko's opinion on the prospect of the FIA president being married to a direct rival was succinct: "Impossible," declared the 81-year-old.
