Albon: It's important to earn a lot of points at the beginning of the season
At the first stage of the season in Melbourne, Alex Albon finished fifth, and his teammate Carlos Sainz crashed the car. Williams expects to earn points with two cars at the Chinese Grand Prix.
Alex Albon: "We started the season very strongly in Australia, achieving a great result. We need to keep up the pace and pick up where we left off in China.
On the first weekend of the season in the sprint format, we need to demonstrate everything we can and do our best. It's important to get as many points as possible at the beginning of the season, so we'll keep attacking, keep learning and hopefully get results."
Carlos Sainz: "The team had a great start to the season in Australia, although it was a more difficult stage for me. We will draw conclusions from what happened in Melbourne and focus on China, where the first stage of the season will be held in the sprint format. It will be a great opportunity for me to start the season anew.
Shanghai has a unique track that includes one of the longest straights, which will be another challenge for the car. The sprint format means that we will only have one training session, which is not ideal at the beginning of the season. However, there will be more opportunities to earn points, which only increases motivation. I can't wait to get behind the wheel again!"
