On Thursday night, the curfew was reduced to 6 hours.
The FIA had to slightly adjust the weekend schedule and shorten the curfew for championship teams, but these amendments will only apply on Wednesday, Thursday night.
This is due to the fact that shipments from Pirelli and several teams arrived from Melbourne to Shanghai later than planned due to logistical problems. Delivery takes place only today and will last until the evening.
In this regard, the FIA sent out a notification to all the teams last night that due to the difficulties faced at Pirelli, today's weekend schedule will be different from usual.
"The following amendments have been made," says the instructions of the race management. "On Wednesday and only for this stage, the curfew period will be shortened by five and a half hours, and a maximum of six technical staff will be allowed to work on the sole task of preparing the tires after the rubber supplier mounts them on the discs."
Usually, on race weekends, the curfew period lasts 11 and a half hours, i.e. work with cars is prohibited at night. But today this period will be reduced to six hours.
However, although some of the cargo arrives at the Shanghai autodrom with an 8-hour delay, there is no particular concern that this may somehow affect the main schedule of the weekend.
There were rumors that, first of all, logistical difficulties could affect Red Bull Racing, McLaren, Mercedes and Aston Martin. However, according to the information GPblog.com Representatives of these teams confirmed that all shipments were delivered to Shanghai on Wednesday afternoon.
According to some sources, the delay was due to the fact that one of the chartered transport planes had technical problems, but this has not been officially confirmed.
