Alex Albon: "It definitely won't be easy to repeat the result we achieved in Melbourne in China. We had serious difficulties with the tires during yesterday's sprint, but since we have to use hard tires today, maybe this will save us from granulation problems to some extent. But let's see how it goes.
I think we will try to react correctly to what will happen on the track. No one has ridden on hard tires yet, so no one knows how they will perform. But it is clear that the rubber will have to be protected. In general, this track is such that the starting position is not so important here – it is much more important that you have a fast car.
After the sprint and before the main qualifying weekend, we made a lot of changes to the settings, including with an eye to today, but I'm afraid that our FW47 has specific characteristics that only exacerbate the granulation. Therefore, I hope that the hard rubber will allow me to avoid these problems to some extent."
