Elbon: The race in Thailand can become "Singapore 2.0"
We wrote that the head of Formula 1 Stefano Domenicali recently visited Thailand, where he met with the organizers of the Bangkok Grand Prix. No decision has been made yet, but work is underway. Williams driver Alex Albon hopes to see Formula 1 in his homeland, but believes that the stage may turn out to be hot.
Alex Albon: "I am in touch with Stefano, I am interested in him about the race. This is an important question, not only for me, but for the whole Formula 1. Thailand is an amazing country, as anyone who has visited us will tell you.
I would be glad to have the opportunity to show my colleagues the culture of Thailand and our food. True, it's usually hot and humid here, so the race in Thailand may become Singapore 2.0, but the riders have performed in such conditions more than once. For my part, I'm doing everything possible to get the contract signed, but we'll see what happens in the end."
