Almost 50% of the public wants to return to Monza in 2025
The Municipality of Monza has released data from a sociological study aimed at determining the scale of the economic impact of holding the Italian Grand Prix in the city.
During the three days of last year's race weekend, i.e. from August 30 to September 1, 335,000 fans visited the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. The main conclusion reached by Italian sociologists from JFC, which commissioned the study, is that most viewers are quite satisfied with their experience.
More than 3,000 people took part in the survey, and on an average 7-point scale, they rated the organization of the Grand Prix at 5.3. At the same time, the overall impressions of visiting both the race and the city were rated even higher – at 5.7 points.
Moreover, 48.3% of respondents stated their intention to return to Monza in 2025 to watch the Formula 1 race again from the stands of the legendary autodrome, which will host the Italian Grand Prix for the 96th time on September 7.
The fact is that for the first time the race, called the Gran Premio d'Italia, was held in Monza back in 1921, while the official history of Formula 1 dates back to 1950.
Going back to last year's statistics, here are some more data from an Italian study: in 2024, 64.3% of the public who visited the circuit were guests from abroad, mostly from France, Switzerland, Great Britain, Germany and Poland.
