Hamilton: Hopefully, Ferrari will take a step forward in Bahrain.

Lewis Hamilton has confirmed that the Ferrari team has brought an updated SF-25 underbody to the Bahrain Grand Prix. The seven-time world champion hopes that the new products will allow for more, but there is no talk of a fight for victory with McLaren, according to Lewis.

Lewis Hamilton: "I'm glad because we have car upgrades this weekend. Hopefully they will provide more downforce. I don't feel like we have any huge number of problems with the car, it's just that it generally lacks speed. But I hope that this weekend we will take a step forward.

I drove quite a long distance after the tests we did in Bahrain, so I should feel much more comfortable driving on this track than during the tests. We have new products, we understand the settings much better. Hopefully, all of this adds up to a more successful weekend.

We're trying to figure out how to catch up with McLaren. Obviously, they have a great car. They won the Constructors' Cup last year and had a great start to the season, as did the other two leading teams.

But we've also learned a lot over the last few races. I hope our team will take a step forward this weekend. This will not necessarily mean reducing the backlog, but it should be a movement towards reducing it. We are not saying that we will completely reduce the gap, but if we can achieve more from the car, which the team is currently working on, then we will see better results."
