Stroll: We still need to find the speed resources.
In the first two stages of the season, Lance Stroll scored points, finishing 6th in Australia and 9th in China, but in the Japanese Grand Prix he was just last. At the FIA press conference in Bahrain, the Canadian Aston Martin racer did not explain the reasons for such an unsuccessful performance the previous weekend and only assured that the team continues to work with the car.
Lance Stroll: "Of course, the results at the beginning of the season were not bad, but the weekends are different. Sometimes you get into a good rhythm right away, find the optimal balance of the car, and on other weekends, due to weather conditions or other circumstances, everything can be different.
If the results were good in the first races, then it was more difficult for us in Japan, but let's see what we can achieve in Bahrain. I think we have managed to improve our car, but in Formula 1 no one stands still, everyone always introduces technical innovations and increases the speed of their cars. So everything is relative.
We still need to find the speed resources, we are not at the level we want to be, so the team is currently focused on making the AMR25 faster.
I'm working with a new race engineer this year, and everything is going well. Gary Gannon is a very experienced professional, we've found a great common language and are discussing my suggestions on settings, so I'm quite comfortable working with him."
