Leclair: I intend to recoup the backlog as soon as possible.

On Friday in Bahrain, the Ferrari drivers worked on a very busy program, including in the first session, Charles Leclair's car was piloted by Dino Beganovich, a member of the Italian team's Racing Academy.

All three analyzed the work of the first set of technical innovations prepared by Scuderia engineers for this stage of the season, primarily evaluating the effectiveness of the upgraded bottom. It turned out that everything was working as expected, and it was this version of the bottom that was used on both machines for the rest of the day.

Charles Leclair (4th): "The temperatures are much higher than they were during the winter tests at this track, so I had some difficulties in the 2nd practice session. The feeling of piloting is completely different, and we had to make adjustments to the car's settings. This work will continue in the evening – we must try to achieve an optimal balance.

In the process of searching for settings, I try to move in a certain direction in which I can fully unleash the potential of the car, given my driving style. The opponents are quite noticeably ahead of us, but I intend to recoup this gap as soon as possible.

I believe we can add to the qualifications and will make every effort to ensure that the new products work as efficiently as possible. Let's see where we stand tomorrow."

Lewis Hamilton (8th): "The first session was not easy, because of the heat it was difficult to get a good grip, so this session can hardly be called representative.

In the second one, we took a step forward. It could have been a good lap on soft tires, but I went too far into the last corner, which caused me to lose some time.

We looked confident in the long laps, but it looks like the opponents are fast in all conditions, so I intend to work hard tonight to close the gap."

Dino Beganovic (14th in the first session): "My first official training session in Formula 1 behind the wheel of a Ferrari is behind me, and it is a great honor for me – I will keep the memories of this day in Bahrain forever. I had a wonderful experience and enjoyed every moment.

We completed the program completely, avoiding difficulties, and I hope that I was able to help the team and contribute to the common cause. I would like to thank Charles, the team and the Ferrari Racing Academy for this great opportunity.

Now I will fully focus on my tasks in Formula 2 and try to apply the experience gained today with maximum efficiency."
