Brown: We'll try to help Norris get on the podium.

Zach Brown is, of course, happy that one of his team's drivers, Oscar Piastri, won pole in Bahrain. But for Lando Norris, who did not perform well in qualifying and starts from 6th position, the McLaren Racing executive director is also not particularly worried: he is confident that the MCL39 car will allow him to push forward and recoup.

Zach Brown: "First of all, I am very happy for Oscar! He did a great lap and was driving very confidently from the very beginning of the weekend. And Lando had difficulties in the first sector of the lap, and I think his result is worse than it could have been, but we have a long race ahead of us on Sunday, so let's see if we can help him get on the podium.

Oscar did a great job, he didn't make a single mistake, although the Mercedes rivals made us work hard – however, we were ready for this and we were not surprised that George Russell drove a good lap.

All in all, we're happy to have won pole position, but we're still a little disappointed because we thought both of our cars would be in the front row of the starting lineup. But such results only confirm that the level of rivalry in Formula 1 is very high now.

Oscar has the right mental attitude, he is quite comfortable driving, and he is looking forward to the upcoming race. His team-mate has the same fast car at his disposal, which has a great race pace, and Lando is a very good driver and is leading the championship, so he will start with renewed vigor on Sunday.

Overtaking is quite possible on this track, but first you need to have a good start. I think the race will take place with a couple of pit stops, and we'll also see if we can't do without the intervention of the safety car, and we'll have to take this into account when developing tactics. So we will try to help Lando as much as possible, but most importantly, he has a very fast car."
