The FIA is investigating the steering wheel shutdown on Alonso's car.

      The FIA is investigating an incident that occurred during a training session in Bahrain, when Fernando Alonso's steering electronics failed and he disconnected the steering wheel to restart and plugged it back in while on the track.

      The steering wheel was connected, the Spaniard returned to the pits, where the mechanics replaced him.

      The FIA suspects that the team sent Alonso to the track when his car was in unsafe condition, which will be revealed as a result of the investigation.
