50 minutes before the start: Oscar Piastri's comment

Oscar Piastri starts in Jeddah from the second position and intends to fight for victory, because the McLaren car is still considered the fastest. However, this did not stop Max Verstappen from taking pole from the Australian, albeit with a minimal advantage.

Oscar Piastri: "I feel inspired, I think the race should be successful for us. The car is working well, the balance is fine, so today we have to show a great pace.

The race promises to be interesting, because this year in Jeddah we are using softer tires, and this should bring a variety of tactics.

I hope that the race will follow an exciting scenario in any case. I hope to fight for the victory, especially since the team is working very well, making every effort to ensure that we get the most efficient car, and we had a great start to the season.

But the championship is very long, and as we can see, the rivalry is very intense, as far as we can tell from yesterday's qualifying, and we can't afford to relax. We have to keep pushing to keep increasing the pace – in general, let's hope that we can perform well today."
