Okon: The first of three home races of the year awaits us

The Miami Grand Prix is the home stage for the Haas team. Drivers Oliver Berman and Esteban Ocon expect a productive weekend, although they admit that the sprint format makes it more difficult to score points.

Ayo Komatsu: "We had a busy start to the season – five races in six weekends. During this time, we have already experienced real American racing. The Melbourne track fully revealed the weaknesses of the VF-25 car, but the team reacted correctly to the problems and by the third race brought an updated bottom and earned 20 points in three stages.

Every time the VF-25 hits the track, we learn how to make the most of it and how to improve it. Esteban and Oliver play an important role in the daily work of the team, choosing the direction, and at the same time they have an incredible race.

There's a stage in Miami ahead, where our first home race of the season will take place. The Miami Grand Prix is an amazing event that has certainly added a new dimension to Formula 1, making the championship even better. We are looking forward to performing in front of our fans and partners."

Oliver Berman: "The second sprint stage of the season is ahead, and it's going to be tough. This is my first time performing in Miami. Add to that the sprint format, but I'm glad to have the opportunity to drive along this track. The location is fantastic, the stage is one of the highlights on the calendar, the stadium looks cool, and this is the first home race of the season for Haas. We have a lot of things to do, but it should be a lot of fun!"

Esteban Ocon: "After a long series, it was useful to analyze everything and give everyone a well-deserved rest. Overall, the team can be proud of how it started the season. Of course, we want to perform better, and we continue to work hard to improve the car and understand how to get more speed and stability from it. The Miami stage will be another good test.

I'm glad to be back in Miami – it's a cool and vibrant city. We are going to have the first of three home races of the year, and we are the only American team in Formula 1, so it is interesting for me to get this experience for the first time as a Haas driver.

I have good memories of racing on this track. For example, in 2022, I finished eighth after starting from the last positions. It's interesting to drive on the track, because there's a combination of slow and fast turns that become a real challenge.

The weekend is in a sprint format, so we will have only one training session at our disposal to test everything and check the various settings. It is important to gain speed as quickly as possible.

We are looking forward to the start of the weekend and hope to please the passionate American fans with a great show."
