Andy Cowell: "The results this year are exceptionally tight, the lap difference between the leaders and the outsiders is extremely small. We're not conceding much, but we're behind, and we always want to be ahead, so none of us can be happy with the results. How unhappy we were a year ago, even though we were higher up.

The reason is that we are investing heavily next year, trying to sort out many issues definitively, so we are not panicking about this year's car. We use it as a learning platform for working in a new wind tunnel, with new modeling tools, and with a larger team.

At the moment, we use every race to collect information, and each time we ask ourselves, "How do we collect even more data?" And this data is more important to us now than the points earned.

We understand that if we can get things right, it will significantly increase the likelihood that we will build fast and efficient machines in the future."
