Reigning world champion Max Verstappen has not yet arrived in Miami and will miss speaking to the press on Thursday.
The Red Bull Racing driver has a good reason. His girlfriend Kelly Piquet is giving birth, and Max is by her side. The team assures that Verstappen will be on the track on Friday and will participate in all sessions of the race weekend.
"Max will not be speaking to the media in Miami on Thursday as he is expecting the birth of his first child," Red Bull Racing said in a statement. – Everything is fine, and he will come to the track tomorrow to participate in the race weekend. We will no longer share additional information in order to respect the privacy of Max and his family."
The British press reports that Max's private jet took off from Nice Airport on Thursday afternoon.
