Charles Leclair thinks about his first win of the season

At the last stage in Jeddah, Charles Leclair reached the podium for the first time this season. The result inspired the Ferrari driver, and in Miami, Monegasque talked about his first victory in the foreseeable future.

Charles Leclair: "The start of the season was not at all what we would have liked, but the team must focus on what lies ahead. We need to keep improving, as we have done in the last three races.

I think we've already made good steps in the right direction, and I hope that we'll get our first win of the season in the foreseeable future.

I don't feel that right now we have the potential to impose an equal fight on McLaren and Red Bull when they are in good shape, but we have to earn the most points possible, and when we have a car capable of winning, we have to win.

Considering everything I've said, I came to Miami with one goal in mind– to win. The team and I will do our best for this."

Charles added that this season he had to seriously adjust his driving style in order to achieve speed from the SF-25.

"This year we took a rather extreme path in working with the settings to achieve more from the car. I've changed my piloting style quite a lot to make it more suitable for the SF-25.

I've been driving for Ferrari for seven years now, and some of the car's features seem quite natural to me, I can just ignore them. Nevertheless, I understand how much I had to adjust my driving style this year and use other settings simply because the car's features require it."
